Electricity from hydropower
For the production of our high-quality animal feed, energy is required. In the pursuit of sustainable energy procurement, we consciously produce with 100% renewable energy. All our locations (Kaiseraugst, Gossau, and Lucens) source electricity from climate-friendly and certified hydropower.

Through our voluntary participation in the program of the Energy Agency for Business, we annually reduce our CO2 emissions and increase energy efficiency. We achieve this primarily by renewing our infrastructure, such as investing in state-of-the-art mill technology with heat recovery.

Sustainable raw material procurement

When selecting the raw materials for our feed, we prioritize the highest quality and resource-efficient cultivation. We source as much grain as possible from local farmers who deliver directly to us on-site with their tractors and trailers. By using high-quality by-products from the food industry, which we process under strict guidelines, we consciously combat food waste and promote good resource efficiency.

As a member of the Swiss Soy Network, we advocate for sustainable and secure protein production. Additionally, we participate in various working groups, actively shaping the future of responsible raw material procurement worldwide.
