Primates

The primate group contains numerous and extremely different species. For accurate feeding solutions in zoos the key factor is individuality for each species.

Birds

The gastrointestinal tract of birds is constructed very differently depending on the species of bird, and is adapted to the food supply available in the natural habitat. This poses a challenge when formulating diets for a zoo environment.

Deer park diet

RANGER by Granovit offers a food solution tailored to our native wild herbivores, such as red deer or chamois. The basis for this is the classification of herbivores into grazers and deciduous grazers (browsers or concentrate selectors). Some animals eat more of one or the other depending on availability and then belong to the mixed type (intermediate feeders). Domestic wild herbivores belong to either the browser or intermediate type and have similar dietary requirements, which can be supplemented with a single pellet feed and the appropriate roughage and grazing so that the ration is ideally adapted to the digestive system and husbandry conditions in the deer park.
